How it goes

Your business problem should not get lost in translation.

Most agencies put a salesperson, an account manager, a designer and a developer between you and the work. Every handoff is a chance for context to get filtered out. Here there are none.

The usual structure

Business owner → salesperson → account manager → designer → developer. More handoffs, more chances for the original problem to arrive as a brief that no longer resembles it.

Hyde & Co.

Business owner → Gary Hyde. Business strategist, technical lead and developer. Direct communication from the original problem through execution — less translation, better decisions.

01

Find the friction

Understand the business, the workflows, the customer journey, and where time and revenue actually leak.

We start with how the business runs rather than with what you want built. That means the workflows as they actually happen — including the manual steps, the spreadsheet holding something together, and the workaround nobody has had time to fix.

Most engagements uncover a cheaper problem than the one they came in with. That is a good outcome, and we would rather find it in week one than after a proposal.

What you getA written summary of where the friction is, and what each piece of it costs.

02

Decide what is worth building

Prioritise by business value — not by whichever technology is fashionable this year.

Every candidate gets weighed against what it would return and what it would cost to run. Some things are worth building now, some later, and some are not worth building at all.

If the right answer is an off-the-shelf product, or nothing, we will say so. A recommendation you can act on without us is still a recommendation worth paying for.

What you getA prioritised plan with a fixed figure, phased where the budget calls for it.

03

Build and launch it

Design, develop, test, and release the work in clear stages you can see progress against.

Work lands in stages rather than disappearing into a black box for two months. You see it as it goes, and the people who will use it daily see it before it is finished.

Launch includes the unglamorous parts: redirects, indexing checks, analytics, forms tested from a real phone, and a written handover of every credential.

What you getA working system, launched cleanly, with the accounts in your name.

04

Keep improving it

Host, monitor, maintain, and evolve the system as the business changes around it.

Software is not finished when it launches. Hosting, monitoring, backups and updates run in the background, and small changes happen without raising a project.

Every quarter is a chance to ask what the system should do next, based on what the numbers say rather than on what would be interesting to build.

What you getAn asset that gets a little stronger each month rather than slowly rotting.

The first stage is the consultation, and it costs nothing.
